Q：Tell us about yourself and why do you open your studio in Changhua?

I’m the mastermind behind ikuikustudio, and Gemini, It's natural to share your desire through illustration, I look forward to the day when talking about sex is as natural as discussing breakfast tomorrow.

I love to travel, visited the Seto Inland Sea five times from 2016 to 2022, and am a Seto Inland nuts who return every year!

I started the studio in 2018 back in Changhua when I finished my working holiday, I was looking after my mom, but after she passed, I feel that Ershui is very much like the countryside of Australia ~ very comfortable! I've been living here forever!

Living in Ershui, I like to spend time on myself and be myself a little more.

Q：You came back from Japan in August for your exhibition, how do you feel about traveling during covid?

It was the first time I felt so difficult traveling to Japan, it got more complicated, but the whole exhibition experience is pleasant, I’m glad I was there, all the staff was so nice to me and we hang out afterward!

Many Taiwanese living in Osaka came to see the exhibition ~ they all said it was very difficult to see Taiwanese illustrators in Osaka despite the epidemic.

Q：As the CEO aka the big BOSS of the studio, what’s your business method? is there a destress prescription?

AS RELAXED AS EROTIC AS YOU CAN BE!

The core is, to produce everything locally, eco-friendly, continuing to use illustration to focus on the things I love.

Q：You see “Erotic” as your brand core, everything on social media is about erotic, what’s your goal?

For me, the core is always about: gender equality, love is diverse and simple…

“erotic” is to express my sexuality, and also saying I like “eroticism”.

For me “eroticism” itself is very natural, but as Asian women can hardly express themselves and often get criticized, especially living in suburbs, sometimes I think if older women can also be satisfied, then we can open our hearts more.

Q：Let’s talk about ikuikustudio’s creation and sustainability…

My creation is all about putting myself into my creation, it's full of what I want, what I like, and what I'm comfortable with and 'sustainability' is also important!

The habit of "sustainability" probably comes from living in Australia, even in the countryside there are second-hand stores where you can donate what you don't need and buy it at a low price to use it again!

I also worked with some organic and fair trade brands, and I like animals the most. All these reasons made me care more about the environment, and I slowly became more concerned about “sustainability” in my own involvement. ....

The wooden shelves or the goose-yellow beer blues in front of me in the studio are all props that I use repeatedly in the marketplace.
