Q: Can you tell us about yourself?

Call me Furby or PHO

I’m a Virgo

I’m outgoing, passionate, and loud.

Q: What are some fun things or interactions you have with your little partner Cheeto?

Cheeto would take a dump at weird places such as the middle of a crosswalk, in the elevator…. places that embarrass me.

Q: If you had to choose between stable or adventurous, which one would you choose?

Of course I’d choose adventurous!

Q: How did you begin your pastry brand?

I fell in love with bright-colored cakes when I was doing a work-study tour in America. I started baking at home after returning to Taiwan and decided to look for jobs related to pastry after graduation. So I started by making chiffon cakes decorated with bright-colored cream. eggtall officially opened then.

Q: What influenced your pastry and your outfits? What music do you resonate with when you make desserts?

I think I resonate with all kinds of music.

I only got one helper at the studio so music plays a big part in my life. I listen to all sorts of music and I appreciate them. Different music genres inspire me to create various styles of cakes.

Q: The shoes you put on today are inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Which character is your favorite and what would your magical world be like?

My favorite is the pinkish-purple fat cat, a little evil yet playful and colorful. I think eggtall really reflects on what I like. They’re not just cakes, it’s a reflection of life and personality and that nobody’s perfect. There is cuteness, beauty, viciousness, ugliness, kindness, greediness…

When I get a good grip on every element, no good or bad, I can create anything I want without restraints. It could be cakes or anything else.

Q: Can you tell us about a magical experience you’ve had?

I think my life has been pretty magical. The profound nature, beauty in music, mysteries in relationships, many things and those left unsaid… Everything in life is magical, the ups and downs are what make life interesting and vivid.
